“A Day in the Life of a CSU Student” Project

This video was created for a Cleveland State University class assignment showcasing a day in the life of a CSU student. I filmed a student during her daily workout to highlight the intensity behind student life. Shot on a Sony A7III with a 50mm f/1.8 lens and using only natural light, the video has a gritty, hard-hitting tone that pairs perfectly with the track “Big Dawgs” by Hanumankind. The result is a raw, energetic glimpse into the rhythm of campus life.

23: A Birthday Night Out

This personal video project was created to celebrate my friend’s 23rd birthday, capturing the fun, chaos, and nostalgia of a night with close friends. Filmed partly at home as we got ready and later at Mahall’s, it blends polished shots from my Sony A7III with grainier, ambient footage from my iPhone, using only the venue’s lighting. Set to “What’s My Age Again?” by Blink-182, the video opens with a sweet moment of her smiling at her cake and closes with her blowing out the candles, bookending a night full of dancing and genuine joy. With its homemade, early-2000s feel, this piece is a lighthearted tribute to friendship, youth, and not taking yourself too seriously.

The Daze: Live in Cleveland

This was my very first video project, filmed for a local band, The Daze, during a live show at the Grog Shop. The band’s lead singer is a fellow CSU student, and I jumped into this project with no formal experience, just my camera and a lot of curiosity. Shot handheld with minimal setup, the video captures the unfiltered energy of their performance and the local music scene. While I had no idea what I was doing at the time, this concert sparked my passion for visual storytelling through video and laid the groundwork for everything I’ve created since.

Let Me Call You Sweetheart: Anniversary Video

This wedding anniversary project was created as a surprise gift for a client, using hours of digitized vintage film footage from their original wedding and early years together. I carefully reviewed and selected moments that captured their story, editing it down into a short, emotionally resonant video set to “Let Me Call You Sweetheart” by Patti Page. The result is a tribute to lasting love, full of nostalgic and intimate moments. This project challenged me to work with archival material.

Formerly Candice: Live in Cleveland

This is my second concert video project, filmed for Formerly Candice, a Cleveland-based alternative band. Shot as a continuous take of a full song, this video focuses on capturing the energy of the performance and the crowd’s live interaction. This piece shows noticeable progress in stability, composition, and timing. By staying locked into a single shot, I was able to document an authentic moment between the band and their audience. It’s a simple but intentional approach that reflects my growing eye for live storytelling.
